Integrated Healing Old
Integrated healing for Veterans, First Responders, and Active Duty Military members typically involves a blend of various modalities. The Association for Integrated Healing collaborates with the clinic at Balanced Being, Inc. and other alternative and complementary medical treatment providers to administer Integrated Healing Programs.
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle manual therapy that uses light touch to relieve pain, stress, and discomfort.
A CranioSacral therapist uses the careful placement of hands to locate restrictions in the CranioSacral system and assist the body in releasing those blockages, encouraging the body’s natural ability to repair injury and heal physical and emotional trauma.
The CranioSacral system is a physiological system composed of the brain, the spinal cord, the dural tube around the spinal cord, and the surrounding fluid and membranes. It extends from the cranium (your head, including your face and mouth) to your tailbone and connects to your central nervous system. The CranioSacral system has a direct influence over every cell, organ, tissue and system in the body, including nervous, endocrine, skeletal, muscular and immune systems.
A typical CST session lasts about an hour, with one therapist and one client. The client remains clothed while lying on a comfortable massage table. It is a powerful, natural, nurturing approach to wellness suitable for people of all ages.
